Agraria 2023 Exhibition (Romania)
In order to support the sales of our products on the Romanian market, we had been considering participation in a local trade fair for some time.
Colleagues from the RETIC GARDURI branch conducted research and came up with the idea of participating in the AGRARIA exhibition in April, which is held annually on the fields near the industrial park in the city of Cluj-Napoca – the second-largest city in Romania and the unofficial capital of the Transylvania region.
Cluj-Napoca is located only about 100 km from the headquarters of our Romanian branch, so the decision to participate was made quickly.
As I have already mentioned, the exhibition takes place on grassy fields, so there are no pavilions or paved roads, walkways, running water, or similar comforts we are used to from exhibitions in Bratislava, Vienna, Prague, or Budapest. However, this did not discourage us; we only hoped for good weather, which, if unfavorable, would certainly have affected the number of visitors.
We set off for Romania two days before the exhibition, as in addition to the 8-hour journey, we had to prepare the stand, install samples, purchase everything necessary, etc. Fortunately, the weather and everything else worked out, and we must conclude that it was a very nice exhibition, pleasantly surprising us with the number of visitors – from professionals and farmers to families with children.
From our assortment, there was mainly interest in knot fences and livestock fencing, as well as fence panels and gabions.
Already on the third of the four exhibition days, we had distributed almost all brochures and contact details for our colleagues at RETIC GARDURI.
We were pleased by visits from our Romanian customers, and a representative of our currently largest wire supplier, who manufactures in Romania, also came to greet us.
We also appreciated the reactions of some visitors who already recognize the location of our RETIC GARDURI branch on the main road between the cities of Oradea and Cluj.
This “open-air” exhibition was a new experience in many ways, but now we know what and how, and hopefully nothing except the weather will surprise us in the future.
We believe that through this exhibition we have become known to an even wider public in Romania and that the RETIC brand will gradually become, as in our other markets, a synonym for a high-quality assortment, fast deliveries, and a reasonable pricing policy.
